I don't think this is a good procedure at all. You should discuss it openly and together with the submitter, otherwise the decision will not be understood and it might become a worse decision.

2008-12-21 [Chimes]: By 'openly' do you mean in public? Or are you thinking something along the lines of within messages?

It would be a good idea but if you do it on a public wiki and you're having to tell someone that you're not accepting their submissions for whichever reason at the time it might be a little bit embarrassing for the submitter, depending on the reasoning behind the rejection.

I do think it's a good idea, though.

2008-12-21 [Tynuka-Rhytishy]: Within messages would be nice. That way you know the reasons and maybe could if discuss with them while the decision's being made. Publicly. I don't think so. Some people do get embarrassed and could keep them from entering more photos.

2008-12-23 [Hedda]: It can't be avoided that someone else notice that they don't get accepted. Just state on their submitted page what's wrong or missing and I don't think it will be a problem.

I personally hate it when bosses take me aside to talk and it feels like the boss is ashamed of what they're doing if there is no reason to take it privately. And in this case there are strong reasons to not take it privately as it makes it possible for others to help out.

I'm not sure how to handle too blurry or small photos though. I generally think we should sort them out and put them on pages with low-quality warnings. Many of my own pictures should be moved from the main page to a back-page maybe. Lots of boring work though.

Each wiki needs to be sorted into several different categories. It has taken me a while to get to them, as I've already told her many...many times, because the photos of each wiki can fit into several different categories. I wanted them to have the attention they deserve and i didn't want to rush it. There is no need to add her numbers to Reference Photographers because that has already been done. 

2009-12-06 [Hedda]: I rushed it. It's better to add stuff badly, than not at all. The pages need comments though and see my comment on Trees Reference Pictures for suggestions of how to split the Assorted Background Images.

It's easy for anyone who is a little bored to go around and clean pages up, but it can't be done if the stuff isn't even there.

So when ever you're ready, you can give those images the attention they deserve, but I've at least added them somewhere now.

2009-12-06 [Nioniel]: Thanks for adding them, but I would also prefer to have things added correctly and receive the time and attention that they deserve than to just throw them at the bottom of the pages. I can get to it in the next few days probably, but it's more frustrating to have to search for them through the wikis than to grab them from here and split them up properly.

2009-12-06 [Lothuriel]: Thanks [Hedda]. After the holiday, I will have a little spare time on my hands. I will have a few days off from work (all three jobs). I plan to go through all the Reference Pictures eventually and give them all a once over. I would like to add several of them, not just [Cillamoon]'s to different categories.
